Where Heritage Meets Horizon

THE ORIGIN

The House That Shaped It All

ZAGARA Home begins in a stucco townhouse in Castellammare del Golfo, overlooking the Gulf of Castellammare.

It is the home where founder and interior designer Catherine LaMarca was raised — shaped by Mediterranean light, marble floors, shuttered windows, and generations gathered around long tables. The house instilled an early understanding of beauty as something lived daily — expressed through linen, scent, care, and continuity.

Each year, Catherine returned.

Later, she returned with her own family.

When she inherited the townhouse, restoration became both responsibility and privilege.

Preservation not reinvention guided every decision.

ZAGARA Home was born from that same commitment: to honor what endures, and carry it forward with pride.

Catherine LaMarca

Founder & Interior Designer

With years of experience designing refined interiors, Catherine approaches fragrance and textile creation the same way she approaches space — through proportion, atmosphere, and restraint.

Her work is grounded in architectural sensitivity: the way light moves across stone, how texture softens structure, how scent completes a room.

ZAGARA Home reflects that philosophy.

It is not trend-driven.

It is place-driven.

Preserved Below. Reimagined Above.

The Sicilian townhouse retains its stucco façade, shutters, marble, and layered terraces.

Above it, a minimal architectural rooftop intervention introduces a contemporary Mediterranean reinterpretation — framing uninterrupted 360° views from mountain landscape to sea horizon.

The dialogue between heritage and modern elevation defines both the home and the aesthetic foundation of ZAGARA Home.

Tradition anchored below.

Perspective expanded above.

Designed With Intention

Every ZAGARA Home collection reflects a preservation mindset.

Ceramics are hand-molded and hand-painted by Sicilian artisans.

Textiles honor time-tested techniques.

Fragrances are developed to evoke warmth, light, and quiet elegance.

Nothing is rushed.

Nothing is created without meaning.

Our collections are not inspired by Sicily — they are rooted in it.

  • Purpose & Continuity

Beyond her work in design, Catherine — alongside her daughter Oriana — is devoted to initiatives that bring hope and compassion to individuals facing extraordinary challenges.

Their commitment reflects a belief that preservation extends beyond architecture — it includes people, resilience, and community.

Because together, with compassion, we can help others feel supported in ways they never imagined possible.

A WAY OF LIVING

ZAGARA Home is not defined by product alone.

It reflects a way of living — shaped by heritage, guided by preservation, and expressed through beauty.

"When you light a candle, when you layer linen across a table, when Mediterranean notes fill your space — you are simply bringing something beautiful into your home."
